PACKING SUDOKU

Posted on

This week let’s talk packing for a trip :)

I had a lovely dinner last week with some close friends that are about to embark on a 4 month trip across the globe covering many countries and climates. Of course my first question was ‘How are you packing for that!’. My stylish friend responded immediately that she was going to use the ‘Sudoku Technique’ and I am now a convert.

Who has time to wrestle with an overstuffed suitcase five minutes before checkout! Enter: the Sudoku technique 🧩 — your new travel BFF. If you’re not familiar with the Sudoku puzzle, the rules are basically logic-based, combinatorial number-placement challenge where the goal is to fill a grid with numbers so that each column, each row, and each of the 9 boxes in the grid contain all the numbers from 1 to 9 once.

Now, think of your suitcase like a Sudoku grid. Every item has a purpose and a place. The trick? Choose a colour palette (neutrals + one pop = perfection). Then, make sure every piece works in at least three outfits. That linen shirt? Beach cover-up, dinner top, and plane layer. Tick, tick, tick.

Roll, don’t fold. Tuck shoes heel-to-toe. Fill bags with socks and bras (bonus points if they’re matching). Accessories? Keep them light but bold — think gold hoops and a silk scarf that doubles as a headband and a belt. Multi-use is the name of the game.

When you’re done, you’ll have a case that’s neat, balanced, and mysteriously spacious. Sudoku saints everywhere would approve.

Now you’ve mastered the technique of a minimalist queen. 👑

I’m off to Melbourne for the long weekend tomorrow so will definitely give this a trial run, I’ll take a photo of my packing prowess and show you all next week. Keep scrolling for some fabulous pieces perfect to pack in your organised suitcase.
