"Don't be into trends. Don't make fashion own you, but you decide what you are, what you want to express by the way you dress and the way to live." —Gianni Versace
Well it was a magical weekend in Byron Bay for Splendour In The Grass! The sun was shining, the music and company excellent- and the people watching is never disappointing! It’s a real insight into the millennials and Gen Z worlds on how the cool kids see fashion. Even the cold snap didn’t hinder their outfit choices. (Thankfully this year there was not a drop of rain, so feeling a little chilly didn't seem like a sacrifice for style!!).

I cruised around Byron in some down time for a little shopping and I have to admit I was a bit surprised at how generic many of the stores had become. Yes there are still the rocking vintage stores and iconic local labels like Spell & The Gypsy to satisfy the fashion hunter in me, but many of the new offerings at this iconic seaside town had seemed to have gone a little too ‘safe’ with their offerings. Many many stores seem to offer almost identical cuts and patterns and I just can’t imagine how this can be good for the brands themselves or the fashionista’s who flock to Byron wanting a fashion fix whilst visiting!!

At you can really show your fashion savvy when making your fashion choices. There’s such a diverse array of designer & vintage pieces that will have you looking every bit as chic as all the cool fashion tribe you see on social media. It’s the ladies with the ‘dare be different’ attitude that make the most impact.

Keep scrolling for some of or latest additions to the store, we guarantee you’ll be amazed at the prices and have that warm fuzzy feeling that you’re buying recycled which is always a big plus for the environment!
