In Sydney we are approaching the end of week 6 in hard lockdown due to the stupid virus. How sick are we of COVID defining how we live….OVER IT!!!
I did a zoom catch up with martini in hand on Saturday night with three of my closest girlfriends that I go all the way back to high school with (and I’m telling you that is forever ago ). Having grown up together and experienced so many of life’s milestones together like first boyfriends, bad haircuts and fashion choices, weddings and births it seems so surreal to be discussing whether we feel safe to go to our local corner shop or discussing how home schooling is going with all our kids! We all have a milestone birthday next year and had planned an OS trip together, not sure if that is on the cards now….
It was really encouraging though to share a drink and chat with the ladies, and I even put on some mascara for the occasion!! We also put in some effort to our wardrobe, at least the top half for the zoom ‘look’.
