FASHION IS MUSIC FOR YOUR EYES!
Posted on
I cannot believe that February is only days away!! Nonetheless here we are…
The big ticket on my February schedule is of course the Laneway Music Festival!! Next weekend we are travelling up to the sunny Gold Coast for a day of music and fun!! I’m so looking forward to seeing if Geese live up to the hype, and to see Lucy Dacus of boygenius fame and of course the amazing Chappell Roan. Every year at Laneway I also discover a fantastic act I’d never heard of til seeing them on stage and I end up buying their record as soon as I leave.
I’m sure many of you here in Australia are also attending in your chosen state, and are already honing your festival attire. The best thing about festival fashion ls that its LAWLESS! There’s no judgement if you want to spend the day like a hot mess, bohemian goddess, or maybe your thing is just wearing your fav band’s tee- its up to you! They do say that fashion is music for your eyes, and I 100% agree with that statement.
For a festival these days I tend to start planning from the feet up. There is nothing WORSE than uncomfortable footwear for a massive day out on your feet. I mean you wouldn’t run a marathon in jelly sandals!! I normally run with Converse, but I think this year I might actually give my RM Williams a go. Bit more of an all wear solution.
As far as the rest of me I may go for a cool vintage tee I found at Assembly Label in NYC and a cool slip skirt perhaps…I think the forecast is for over 30 degrees so I want to feel cool not just look it!
