Remembering A Musical Icon, A True Genius.
Posted on
This week came with the devastating news of David Bowie’s passing. You may have guessed from previous blogs and newsletters my complete love of Bowie.
Music and fashion icon, literary genius and brilliant actor, he could not be pigeon -holed in any shape or form in this life.
On hearing the news it was one of shock, then sorrow. My son Jed, pictured here with close friend Nathan (with their matching Bowie lightening bolts) is the new generation of Bowie fanatics; I felt so sad to know Jed would never get to see one of his music heroes play live.I was lucky enough to see him play a number of times live including the Glass Spider and Reality Tour's, every time amazing!
We were on holidays down the coast when the news broke, and put Bowie’s catalogue on Spotify shuttle play, and Jed and I danced together, a moment I will never forget, and I hope he will remember always.
Costumes were a major factor to his artistry, fashion a major part of his persona, and he will be remembered and continue to inspire with these arts.
RIP Mr Bowie
