Not long now!

I’m back tomorrow after a short break with friends ahead of the silly season :) I caught up on some reading while away, both of the literary and pop culture kind. I took away Patti Smith’s new book ‘Bread Of Angels’ and it is a fantastic. If you loved ‘Just Kids’, I highly recommend this for your holiday reading list.

The most shocking news I discovered scrolling through various digital media sites was about the 2026 Met Gala. Apparently with the 2026 theme being announced ‘Costume Art’, many people were blindsided with the other major news that Jeff Bezos and new bride Lauren Sánchez’s names were attached to the ball held on the first Monday of May. Traditionally luxury fashion houses have been the major players for the gala and its styling but apparently the billionaires have taken most of the reins. ‘Stylecaster’ publication even said rumours are spreading that Jeff Bezos was gifting Vogue and Condé Nast to Sánchez as a wedding gift. YIKES! After seeing photos everywhere from the Bezos gaudy wedding I’m not sure I’ll be as interested in the event this year….
