No I’m not referring to the teen classic film with the ever so stylish Olsen sisters, I’m referring to the new additions in store this week!!
I’ve had my eye on all things happening at New York Fashion Week’s Spring Summer 2024 shows as I’m writing this, and whilst there’s a few days to play out on the runway shows theres been plenty of action. Janet Jackson made an appearance, Sia performed her hit “Diamonds’ that she penned for Rihanna at the Christian Siriano show, J Lo opened the week in the above chic look from Coach & what about Blayke Lively’s (also above) Studio 54 look at Michael Kors, she’s so cool! One of the most photographed moments has been Timothee Chalamet & Kylie Jenner making another public appearance at an official NYFW dinner- and thats just a few of the moments that aren’t happening on the actual runways!! I’ve definitely found some trends emerging that will help add some new life to the wardrobe :) Lucky for us here in Oz we are heading into Summer so we can jump on these style ideas early!!
Throughout the week, long jackets and oversized suiting mixed with gauzy, barely-there dresses dominated runways, from Coach to Khaite to Proenza Schouler, Jason Wu to Eckhaus Latta. But while many of these labels — and more — employed restrained colour palettes, there were maximalist takes as well. It all still feels very 90s aesthetic, so the good news in keep doing what you’re doing in a style sense & you won’t need to spend much more to update your look. The winners are you, your wallet and the environment! I was going to talk about the street style of attendee’s to the shows but then this newsletter will go on and on. BUT everyone got the brief that the 90s were still here with their style choices.
What’s in store this week at you ask? Well there are HEAPS of new additions!!! Jump over to the site to snap up these stunning pieces :)
