NEW ADDITIONS GALORE
Posted on
So I’ve now caught up on the second episode of ‘And Just Like That’ and I have to say I’m not going to bury it like most reviewers have!!
For 20 plus years I’ve been watching Carrie and her crew live their fantasy (yet somehow relatable) lives and you know what- it makes me happy :) Critics are saying the characters lack any depth or signs of growth, but I say character development be damned!! When it comes to Carrie, I want the familiar gal I have grown to love.
As someone whom has raised a family and held a career, it’s great watching women excel as they try to have it all whilst at the same time like all of us find themselves questioning if they really can…. I’m not going to break down my thoughts much more than this on the storylines, its not really that deep! Plus if you haven’t started your new season journey yet I don’t want to blow every plot twist for you.
‘Sex In The City’ was a series defined by its fashion statements and ‘And Just Like That’ has very much picked up where SITC left off. The wardrobe yet again does not disappoint exploring diverse fashion forward choices, except for some quite bizarre scenes. Carrie in that polarising giant check cap in episode one really should have been cut out in the edit, and Seema in florals and pastels to try and land a man with a match-maker seemed like a nonessential plot line that just did not suit her character at all.
