HAPPY EASTER

I hope you’re all packing away your work and packing a suitcase! We’re well on the way to a few days off over Easter. Those of you working through the holiday period thank you for keeping the wheel turning!

Simon, Kobie & I have just touched down in our happy place Byron Bay :) (Jed if you’re reading this we miss you). This year whilst we are glad to be up north, it’s bittersweet with our annual Bluesfest time no more. The festival was abruptly cancelled just a few weeks ago which is a tragedy. We’ve been going for at least 25 years, and it’s sad that it has ended with such disgrace. Any of you out there that are owed money for your tickets I really hope you get good news that you will be reimbursed. I read a great piece in the Sydney Morning Herald on the weekend by David Free about the end of an era & it made me reflect on all the amazing experiences & people I met, both with family and friends and working in music television. I loved his end quote from Noel Gallagher whom played the festival with High Flying Birds & closed the festival one year with ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’. ‘All the things you’ve seen will slowly fade away, but don’t look back in anger….At least not today’. Wise words.
